Omung Kumar will be starting the pre-production on the biopic of the real life story of Sanjay Dutt To Play Maharaja Of Jamnagar

Just yesterday we reported that after Bhoomi, Omung Kumar will be starting the pre-production on the biopic of Maharaja Of Jamnagar, Jam Sahib The Maharaja of Jamnagar established a Polish Children Camp in Jamnagar-Balachadi for children brought out of the USSR during World War II. 

In 1942, ships containing Polish refugees from Russia and Siberia were denied asylum by all the countries they visited. In 1945, the camp was closed and the children were transferred to Valivade in Kolhapur. In 2016, 50 years after Jam Sahib Digvijay Sinhji’s death, the Poland’s Parliament unanimously adopted a special resolution honouring him.

Omung revealed to Mirror that work on his film has been on for a year now and Sanjay Dutt is already onboard to play the title role. “We plan to shoot in Poland, India and across continents. The story idea came from Sanjay and Vikas Verma, who is also a part of the film. I will be leaving for Poland in two months for recce. We are tracing the entire journey, from Poland to Mumbai and finally Gujarat, so the film will take a while to shoot,” Omung said, adding that he and his team had met government officials in Poland on their last visit as the film had been in the works even before his upcoming film Bhoomi happened. “It took so much time to get the film off the ground because it is being shot on a huge scale.”
