Asiatic Lions in GIR Sanctuary There are no reports about the number of Asiatic Lions in Gir Sanctuary has decreased over the years.On the contrary the number of Asiatic Lions in Gir Sanctuary has increased over the years.The Government of Gujarat has launched several steps including establishing and conserving appropriate habitats including Barda Wildlife Sanctuary located in Porbandar and Jamnagar Districts for supporting lion population.
