Jamnagar in the five WR stations cleanliness ranking

A survey of major railway stations in India has given top marks to Western Railway with the latter having five stations in the top 10 most clean stations. A survey of major Railway stations for cleanliness ranking was initiated by the Environment & Housekeeping Management.

Western Railway has been adjudged as the best zone, with the highest proportion of stations (68%) in Cleanliness Level 1, that is 19 out of total 28 stations.

Similarly, in the rankings for cleanliness at Divisional Headquarters, Rajkot Division office has secured second place with Cleanliness Level 1 and Bhavnagar came in the 10th place with cleanliness Level 2. The five WR stations in the top 10 are Gandhidham, Jamnagar, Surat, Rajkot and Ankleshwar — all in Gujarat.
